The Killer Bee driven by Jimmy Tracey and Trey behind the wheel of the Warrior took turns at popping their trucks into a wheelie off the cars. Vaters won the wheelie competition as the Black Stallion went completely vertical with the tailgate dragging……the crowd went crazy with applause. Michael Vaters piloting the all Ford Powered K&N Black Stallion went on to take the racing and monster freestyle wins. |

Friday night’s crowd was even larger as the fans poured into the stands. The action that followed was one of the best all season with sky wheelies, photo finish racing, and fast paced freestyle. Town & Country Days |
New Martinsville WV - August 11, 2010 |

The Vaters Monster Motorsports crew’s next stop was in New Martinsville WV at Town and Country Days. The line-up of trucks competing was the Black Stallion, Iron Warrior, Killer Bee, and Illuminator. This summer Jay Snyder debuted his concept truck the “Illuminator” inspired by his “day job” as the owner of an event lighting and sound company. |

The wheelie competition was first up with the Killer Bee driven by rookie Jimmy Tracey behind the wheel. Tracey has been working with the Black Stallion racing team for years and his experience showed as he effortlessly sent the Killer Bee skyward as he competed for the wheelie win. The four competing trucks were narrowed down between Michael Vaters in the Black Stallion or Jay Snyder in the Illuminator. The two trucks came back out onto the track for a tie breaker wheelie show down. The crowd roared their approval for the all Ford Powered K&N Black Stallion and the winner was chosen. |

In racing the Killer Bee lost out to the Black Stallion and Iron Warrior took the win over Illuminator. The final round of racing saw the Iron Warrior lined up against the Black Stallion on the Chicago style race course. In an upset Trey Myers in the Iron Warrior took the win crossing the finish line before his teammate making his way into the winning circle. Mikey Vaters pulled off some pretty sick tricks defying gravity and awing the crowd during his FMX exhibition. |

Jimmy Tracey was first up for “monster freestyle”……annihilation style. Tracey maneuvered the Killer Bee around the course in a fast paced run sending the truck skywards off the obstacles multiple times and even pulling off a slap wheelie the length of the track. The Illuminator lit up the track with its neon lights outlining the truck as it sped from car stack to car stack. The crowd was pumped up cheering Snyder on during his exhibition and then the tires hooked a little too hard and he rolled it. Trey in the Iron Warrior came out with an impressive freestyle run but was unable to double down with a freestyle win. Michael Vaters in the all Ford Powered K&N Black Stallion sped out onto the track hitting every obstacle from all angles sending the truck sky ward time and again. The crowd cheered Vaters on as the freestyle winner during the cheer off. To wind up the night of speed, thrills and destruction the Kamikaze Jet powered 4-Wheeler came out and lit the track up when it incinerated a junk car. Excited spectators stayed late into the night standing in line to meet the drivers and get their autograph. |

Lebanon Country Fair |
Lebanon CT - August 7th & 8th, 2010 |

Vaters’ Monster Motorsports, back by popular demand, brought a thrill show to the Lebanon Country fair. The spectators were so blown away by the thrill show that the fair board asked the Vaters team to stay another day and perform an encore the next night. The show got underway with a wheelie contest and Trey Myers in the Iron Warrior shot sky high over both race lanes. Mike Vaters in the all Ford Powered K&N Black Stallion shot out onto the track and popped one and then two vertical wheelies off the junk cars. The crowd went crazy and roared their approval and in the cheer off Vaters took the win over Myers. |

Racing was best two out of three rounds. The Chicago style format and loose dirt track made it challenging for the drivers. Michael Vaters in the all Ford Powered K&N Black Stallion took the first round win and Myers in the Warrior took the second round of racing. The final round was set up but as the Warrior came around the last turn the truck lost a rear axle allowing Vaters in the Black Stallion to take the final round and racing competition win for the night. |

The crew worked on the Warrior back in the pits but were unable to get it fixed before freestyle so Myers had to run in two wheel drive. Trey powered the Iron Warrior through its’ paces and amazed the crowd. Mike Vaters then brought out the Black Stallion and sent it into a blistering run that had the crowd on their feet going crazy!!! Vaters took the win. The night of entertainment was rounded out by some sick FMX stunts. The crowd was awestruck when the Kamikaze jet powered 4-wheeler came out on the track to heat up the night with speed and flames. |

The Fair was so happy with the performance that they had the gang hang around until the next day, and put on an additional show that wasn’t scheduled. The Fair goers were treated to more racing and freestyle action and for the second night saw Michael Vaters take the racing and freestyle win there. |

Stallion & Warrior return to Seekonk Speedway… |
August 1, 2010 Seekonk MA |

The Black Stallion and Iron Warrior are fan favorites at Seekonk Speedway as they have built up quite the fan following this being their third year back. The action started off with the gravity defying stunts pulled by the freestyle motocross rider jumping ramp to ramp. Spectators held their breath every time the bike left the take off ramp until the rider brought the bike back for the landing. This was followed by loud cheering as each trick was executed. |

Seekonk Speedway had also featured other track action like an Enduro race, a spectator drag race, figure eight racing and a fan favorite “trailer trash.” Trailer trash consists of cars and trucks pulling various trailers; boats, campers and other pull behind trailers. The object is to race around and knock off each other’s trailer from the pulling vehicle…whoever is left with a trailer intact wins. |

In between the track racing action the monster trucks were brought out to freestyle. Iron Warrior was the first out and sent the truck vertical in a sky wheelie over a car stack. Trey cross threaded the Iron Warrior back and forth over the junk car obstacles and even launched off the school bus stack. Mike Vaters behind the wheel of the all Ford Powered K&N Black Stallion couldn’t wait to get into the action and as Trey pulled the Iron Warrior off the track Vaters rocketed out. Mike sped from obstacle to obstacle shooting the Stallion vertical and coming back down to set up for the next hit. After several more minutes of carnage, Mike rode past Trey and motioned for him to bring the Iron Warrior back out as they took on the obstacles at the same time. The show then got into a very wild portion where one competitor would come at the junk cars from one direction, while the other would be coming at the same stack at a 90 degree angle, and as soon as one truck would jump the car stack, the second truck would launch off the same stack. It was like trying to choreograph a monster truck ballet as the trucks moved around the course from obstacle to obstacle hitting each one in abandon. The fans were in awe as the trucks ran until they were literally sucking fumes after nearly a 10 minute exhibition of non-stop action. The freestyle was brought to a closing pose of monster power as Myers pulled the Warrior up to the front stretch in front of the grand stand and then Vaters popped the front tires of the Black Stallion up onto the tires of the Warrior setting up the perfect photo opportunity for the fans. |
