The Black Stallion racing team traveled to South Boston VA to compete in a 7-truck lineup.  Black Stallion, Iron Warrior and Higher Education competed against Grave Digger, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Big Foot and Triple X.  In round one racing Jimmy Tracey took out the Turtle and Black Stallion eliminated teammate Iron Warrior.  Triple X was eliminated by Big Foot and Grave Digger got the by run.  In semi-finals Michael Vaters in the all Ford Powered K&N Black Stallion beat Tracey in Cool Bus.  Grave Digger beat Big Foot advancing into the final round.  Grave Digger and Black Stallion lined up for the racing final.  Both trucks came across the finish line simultaneously but the officials awarded the win to Grave Digger.

Each truck took their shot at the wheelie contest and Triple X rolled in his attempt to get vertical.  Big Foot ultimately took the wheelie win by crowd cheer off.  Freestyle competition was fierce and competitive but it was Big Foot who swept with his second win of the day.

We are excited to announce that Hot Wheels has chosen to produce the Safety-Kleen Black Stallion for a toy truck coming out soon.  They will also be adding the Higher Education monster school bus to their line of toys next year.

The 19th Mike traveled to Auburn IN to attend the First Annual  International  Monster Truck Museum Hall of Fame induction ceremony and banquet.  In 2012 Michael Vaters in the Black Stallion celebrates 30 years of entertaining and competing in the monster  truck industry.  He had a great time sharing old stories, discussing how the sport has changed over the years since the beginning and catching up with old friends.  If you get a chance and are ever in the A November uburn IN area don’t miss out on the opportunity to visit the Hall of Fame museum.  Follow the link below to check out their website.

In the fall each year the Black Stallion team heads to the Olympic Stadium to compete in Chris Arel Motorsports Monster Spectacular.   We were only able to send Higher Education to this event this year as Mike was heading south to Orlando FL. to put the Safety-Kleen Black Stallion on display in the tradeshow.  Mike normally attends this event every year but this time he took the Stallion along with him.   Michael Vaters and the entire Black Stallion racing team appreciate all the help that our sponsors give us but is nice to attend an event like this each year to touch base with our sponsors face to face.    The Safety-Kleen Black Stallion is such a hit at the PRI with attendees and exhibitors that Mike has decided to take it to the  International Motorsports Industry show in Indianapolis next weekend.

Mike is on the board of directors of the the Monster Truck Racing Association MTRA .  The MTRA is having their annual  banquet and awards  ceremony.  Jimmy Tracey who dirives Higher Education has been nominated for Rookie of the Year.....so wish him good luck.

Please excuse the mess as we re-design our website.

Safety-Kleen came to service their equipment at the shop and we took the opportunity to get a photo of one of their trucks at the shop with our trucks.
